Pronouns: he/him
Current Research Project: I am currently involved in research at the Duke Center for Autism & Brain Development. The study focuses on developing objective, brain-based methods to improve early identification of autism and to evaluate interventions that support brain function. By studying both children with autism and those without a diagnosis, we hope to better understand early brain development.
How he got involved with research: I became involved in research at Duke by reaching out to professors whose labs aligned with my interests in neurodevelopmental disorders and brain development. After connecting with a faculty member, I scheduled an interview to discuss potential opportunities in their lab. To support my involvement, I applied for the URS Assistantship grant, which provides work-study compensation for research positions. This experience allowed me to pursue hands-on research while building connections in my field of interest.
