Current Research Project: My research interests span cosmology, development economics, and applications of AI in economics. I have explored questions about the universe and black holes at a fundamental level while also studying how economic policies and interventions shape human outcomes. I am particularly interested in how computational and data-driven methods, including AI, can provide new insights into economic development challenges. This interdisciplinary focus allows me to connect quantitative tools with both scientific discovery and societal impact.

How she got involved with research: I first became involved in research at Duke by working with a physics professor on a meta-research question during my freshman year. After that, I conducted simulation work using N-body simulations to study dynamical friction for quantifying dark matter temperatures. More recently, I have been engaged in NLP modeling to analyze normative decisions within economic history frameworks. These projects have allowed me to explore both theoretical physics and applied economics while developing a broad set of research skills.
