Current Research Project: While I have conducted benchwork, animal, and computational research at Duke, my greatest passion lies in computational research at the intersection of medicine. Currently, I work with Duke Surgery to design simulation and predictive models that aim to improve surgical outcomes and enhance care coordination.
How he got involved with research: Dr. Harrell and the Undergraduate Research Support office have been instrumental in shaping my research journey, both at Duke and at other institutions during the summer. Although I have been passionate about research since high school, attending URS Fall workshops (such as workshops about picking a lab and reaching out) helped me find the right fit and, importantly, avoid potential burnout.
