Pronouns: she/her
Current Research Project: I am interested in social science research, specifically sociological and psychological work. I have worked in archival research at the Rubenstein Library, social and ethnographic work through Duke Global Health, public policy research through the Stanback fellowship program in Washington DC and political psychology research at the University of Cambridge. I have, since sophomore year, done research at the Early Childhood Cognition Lab in the Department of Psychology. My thesis in the Department of Sociology explores the consequences of the two-child benefit cap in the United Kingdom. I am primarily interested in the demographic and socio-economic consequences of policy making.
How she got involved with research: I got my first research position through Muser at the Rubenstein library, as well as my first research internship through Duke Global Health. I subsequently did CNRI at DIBS. I found my current internship through a psychology class, and other research projects and internships by building strong relationships with professors and cold emailing. I am grateful for funding support for my work through the Department of Psychology, Duke Global Health, Duke Libraries, Kenan Institute for Ethics, The URS office, and Office of Undergraduate Scholars and Fellows.
