Duke building in background. Stone wall and grass in front

Are you a Duke undergrad interested in the sustainability/environmental field and are seeking mentorship or professional development guidance within this field? Join the CAIRNS Program!

The CAIRNS Program is focused on providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for undergrad students from underrepresented backgrounds that are interested in the sustainability and environmental field. During the program, we pair each student with a current Nicholas School graduate student mentor. These pairs are clustered into mentorship groups under the guidance of a Nicholas School alumni. The mentee cohort will meet monthly with Dr. Nicki Cagle and the CAIRNS Program facilitators for workshops on professional development and growth. The goal of the program is to support undergraduate students in career exploration and individual growth through meaningful mentorship relationships.

Interested students can apply to join the 2022-2023 Mentee Cohort here! For consideration, please apply before 11:59pm on May 20.
